What we collect, and why.

Halden is a brand and digital studio based in Toronto and Rome. This page explains, in plain language, what information this website handles and what we do with it.

The short version

This website does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites and does not sell or share your information. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us.

What you send us

If you fill in the Start a Project form, we receive the answers you give: your name, your business, your email address, and anything else you choose to include, such as a phone number, a link to your current website and a description of what you would like to improve.

We use these answers only to read your enquiry, reply to it and, if we work together, to plan the project. We do not add you to a mailing list.

What happens when you visit

Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider, Vercel, which briefly records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser and the page requested, to keep the site running and secure.

The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts and its smooth scrolling from jsDelivr, so your browser also contacts those services, which can see your IP address. We do not run any analytics or advertising tools.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Enquiries are kept in our email for as long as they are useful for the conversation and any project that follows, and deleted on request. Our service providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Our email address will be listed here as soon as it is set up.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
